Self Build Finance

In association with Wolseley Self Build, BuildStore brings you information on specialised finance packages to help build your dream home. One of these is the Accelerator Self Build Mortgage, which was developed by BuildStore to provide flexible funding for people building their own homes or renovating or converting existing properties.

Accelerator offers up to 95% of the land value up front and up to 95% of the build costs in advance of each stage. This is a higher percentage than most of the other self build mortgage providers and the unique payment in advance facility gets over the nightmare cash flow situation which can occur with traditional self build mortgages where payments are in arrears.

With a traditional self build mortgage, you have to find large amounts of money to pay for the land and materials in advance of getting funds from the lender. This results in many self builders having to sell their existing homes and either move into rented accommodation, a caravan, or stay with relatives during their build.

With Accelerator, payments are made in advance of the major pu rchases and with up to 95% of the purchase price released, your have to find a much lower amount of money from your own resources. This means you are in a much better cash flow situation than if you were using a traditional self build mortgage and therefore have much more control over whether or not to stay in your own home during the build.
